The only sport where everyone can go pro
Our game, our sport, our dream!
Robotics is OUR sport of tomorrow.
Help us make tomorrow today!
The definition of what constitutes a sport has, without a doubt, evolved significantly in recent years. For instance, improvisation, chess, and billiards are now internationally recognized disciplines.
Why not robotics?
The "OUR Sport" initiative, led by students from Collège Regina Assumpta in Montreal, aims to create a unifying movement among those who believe that robotics is the sport of tomorrow.
Discover the sport of robotics:
Did you know?
Robotics is already officially recognized as a sport in four U.S. states: Arizona, Minnesota, Connecticut, and Texas.
75% of robotics students become professionals in a STEM field.
Over 7,500 Canadian students, aged 5 to 18, participate in a FIRST Robotics program.
An official recognition that's beneficial to all.
Providing access to more suitable facilities
For the past two years, robotics students in Quebec took part in competitions with fewer teams, in front of small audiences, and in inadequate facilities. This challenging situation is not unique to Quebec; it’s happening across Canada and around the world.
By officially recognizing robotics as a sport, competitions could be held in larger venues, allowing everyone interested to attend and discover an exciting new sport.
Creating a sports-study program
Students spend long hours working on robotics, sacrificing their personal time for their passion. Robotics- which combines technology, learning, and the principles of sport- has the potential to become an emblem for future generations.
By officially recognizing robotics as a sport, society opens the door to sports-study programs for these students, just like other young athletes across the world.
